NAZA ACADEMY'S STUDENTS PUT SKILLS TO USE FOR CHARITY
December 01 2015
Some 30 students and staff of Naza Academy rolled up their sleeves inspecting cars (30 check point), washing and polishing on Saturday, 28 November 2015 to raise funds for Masjid Daerah SeberangPrai Tengah, Bandar Perda, Penang.
‘Program Jom Check Kereta’ charged a minimal fee of RM30 for polishing, RM1 for car wash and no charge for car inspection on that sunny day which proved ideal as the event received over 70 vehicles between 10am and 4pm.
"I am very proud of our students who volunteered their skills, time and effort to raise money for the mosque," said Noor Amirulaman Bin Sulaiman, Principal of Naza Academy. "This is the first event that we have done with Zakat Pulau Pinang and we are delighted at its success."
The 30 students who took part in the event are the first batch of students currently undertaking the 1 year full-course Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia training at Naza Academy in Gurun, Kedah. The students are fully sponsored by Zakat Pulau Pinang.
