Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of the Naza Group of Companies contributed 100 units of Naza Forza worth a total of RM4mil to local polytechnic schools, vocational colleges and community colleges via the Ministry of Education.

Naza Group of Companies’ Joint Group Executive Chairman, SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, who also sits on the foundation’s board of directors today, presented the mock keys to representatives of the institutions. The presentation was witnessed by Second Education Minister, Dato Seri Idris Jusoh at Naza Automotive Manufacturing (NAM) assembly plant in Gurun, Kedah.

“We are glad to be able to contribute practical teaching aids to these institutions. We are confident that the cars will assist in a more holistic education and hands-on experience for the 8,000 students of the engineering and technical courses,” said SM Nasarudin.

The Naza Forza is a 5-door mini hatchback. Formerly known as the Naza Sutera in 2006, its facelift was reintroduced as Naza Forza in 2007. The production of Naza Forza has been discontinued since 2010.

Besides the contribution of cars, the foundation will also bear the cost of logistics and rectifications. Institutions located in the Peninsular will receive the cars by December 2014 while those located at Sabah and Sarawak will receive by early next year, all of which are timely for the upcoming semester.
