Naza Sponsors ‘Wheel, Walk & Fun Run’ Event

National level celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities organised by the Paralympic Council of Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 13 January 2018 – Naza Corporation Holdings is a proud sponsor of the ‘Wheel, Walk & Fun Run’ organised by the Paralympic Council of Malaysia, held today at the Malaysia Paralympic Sports Centre of Excellence Kampung Pandan which gathered close to 1,000 people from all walks of life for a national level commemoration in conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, was present to concurrently launch the ‘Tambah Emas’ Paralympic Council of Malaysia’s crowdfunding campaign together with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and President of the Paralympic Council of Malaysia, SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin. Apart from being an event sponsor, Naza Corporation Holdings also sponsored the grand lucky draw prize of a Vespa S125 scooter as an attraction to the crowd.

 

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated widely every year to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

The ‘Tambah Emas’ crowdfunding is currently available on the mobile wallet app Boost and is aimed at financing the development of para sports from the grassroots level and prepare the national Paralympic team on their journey to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
