KUALA LUMPUR, 2 NOVEMBER 2011 - Every year, NAZA plays host to hundreds of friends, patrons and family members during its Hari Raya and Chinese New Year festivities. This year, for the first time in its history, NAZA also celebrated Deepavali with an extravagant open house at the NAZA World Automall Petaling Jaya.

In fact, the national conglomerate went the extra mile; inviting not only its nearest and dearest friends and customers, but also the public with approximately 1,000 attended the event. Also present at the event are Minister of Human Resource, YB. Dato' S Subramaniam; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB. Senator A. Kohilan Pillay and Hulu Selangor Member of Parliament (MP), YB. P. Kamalanathan. With the intention of making this event an annual tradition, NAZA embodies the true essence of 1Malaysia, as it encourages appreciation for all Malaysian cultures.

Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of NAZA Group of companies, stated "Over the years we have hosted open houses for Chinese New Year and of course Hari Raya. In fact, it was just last month that NAZA put together an exotic Arabian 'Ya Habibi' themed Raya open house. It felt only right to also pay tribute to our customers and friends that celebrate Deepavali. Well, this may be the first time but I assure you this shall definitely not be the last!"

Guests dressed in dazzling and vibrant traditional Indian attire forming a sea of vivid colours throughout the brightly decorated auto mall. The buffet tables were lined with mouth-watering Indian delights with the hypnotic aroma of spices filling the air. The place really came alive with the traditional Indian, Bhangra and Bollywood dance music and performances that captivated everyone present. Staff and guests eagerly awaited the announcement of the winners of the best-dressed awards.

Children from two Indian charity homes; Agathians Shelter and Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan were invited to join in the festivities. In keeping with its passion for CSR activities, NAZA make contribution of RM 5,000.00 to each home and the 71 children were delighted with the individual 'money packets'.
