Head Of Malaysian French Chamber Of Commerce & Industry

(KUALA LUMPUR), 4TH JUNE 2009 - SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Executive Chairman & CEO of Naza Group of Companies, has been appointed Chairman of the Malaysian French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MFCCI).

The MFCCI, established in October 1991, has been instrumental in exposing French and Malaysian businesses internationally, aiding numerous companies and organizations looking for products and services in Malaysia and France.

From its then 19 funding members, MFCCI is now comprised of over 220 members, who are mostly French, or French-related companies and individuals, with about a third being made of Malaysian companies. Over half of the members are corporate entities with a yearly turnover in excess of 10 Million Ringgit, the rest being individuals or Small and Medium Enterprises.

The main objective of MFCCI is to promote the development of business relations between Malaysian and French Companies and to assist its members in liaising with the authorities of both countries so as to enhance bilateral business.

“I assure you that I will do my utmost best in assisting French and Malaysian companies to take full advantage of the business opportunities available. My commitment as Chairman is to continuously improve relations between the Malaysian Government and the Chamber in order to facilitate Malaysian-French business,” said Nasarudin at an MFCCI business luncheon held in Kuala Lumpur on the 4th of June.
